Description: OSSIM has a plugin mechanism for adding external functionality. If you are building the software from source you will need to add the ossim_plugins module. Frank Warmerdam s GDAL library is one example of an OSSIM plugin. If the user reads in a file that is not handled in the OSSIM base library it will use GDAL to translate it into OSSIM. This document includes relevant information about setting up you ossim plugins directory so that OSSIM plugins are automatically detected and loaded.
