The bus coupling unit (BCU) is the standard bus interface for KNX/EIB bus devices. Due to its universal usage the BCU may contain the application program or just serves as a bus interface. Concerning the reconfiguration of the BCU, it can be programmed as well via the bus as via the PEI. The BCU 2 is more powerful than the BCU 1. It has more EEPROM, more RAM and a lot of additional features.
This help file is a detailed description of the BCU 2. The common characteristics of KNX/EIB are described in the KNX Specification which can be obtained from the Konnex Association, Brussels.
