RTEMS latest 4.9.4 version. RTEMS, namely: Real-time multi-processor system (Real Time Executive for Multiprocessor Systems), is an open source royalty-free real-time embedded operating system RTOS. It was first used in U.S. defense systems, the early name for real-time missile systems (Real Time Executive for Missile Systems), was later renamed for real-time military systems (Real Time Executive for Military Systems), is now in charge by the OAR' s version of the upgrade and maintenance. At present, both the aerospace, military, or civilian areas of RTEMS all have an extremely wide range of applications.
