The monitoring software based on the IP sensor can carry on some operations to the sensor distributed in the network as independent nodes，such as data acquisition，calibration，and SO 013．But the network communication problem must be solved firstly in the development of the monitoring software．This paper takes the IP sensor(ARM nucleus)embedded Linux operating system as the lower position machine，which realized the socket server by programming in the communication，provided the subsequent visitation of the clients．The computer loaded Windows operating system is taken as the superior machine，which realized the Socket client that can visit the Socket server by programming in the communication．The communication problem of the network momtoring platforrn has been resolved
