Based on nonsubsampled Contourlet transform and SAR image statistical property, a SAR image enhancement method is proposed. A speckle noise variance estimate algorithm is given using nonsubsampled Laplace Pyramid decompose, and a wake edge enhancement algorithm using directional local neighborhood is proposed.
