Aiming at the problems of traditional satellite broadcasting retransmission scheme, high loss broadcasting retransmission approach based on network coding and maximum weight clique algorithm, we present an improved network-coding-based broadcasting retransmission scheme. Simulation results indicate that compared with high loss broadcasting retransmission approach based on network coding, our proposed scheme solves the problem of the encoded packets which can’t be decoded by all receivers and the problem of the lower performance when the number of receivers are large, besides, compared with maximum weight clique algorithm, computational overhead of our proposed scheme is less.
