This application note provides a description of the Factory Test mode (FTM) feature of the advanced mobile subscriber software (AMSS). In the absence of sophisticated test equipment, the AMSS can be switched to FTM. In this mode, it can be used to perform basic testing of the 1xEV-DO feature set of the mobile station modem (MSM™ ) chipset.
