Proposed license plate segmentation method based on color space and a combination of word frequency statistics. This method is in HSV color space, make full use of the color information provided by the license plate image constructed grayscale, then using mathematical morphology, word frequency analysis and statistical methods to determine, were the early positioning. Then the horizontal and vertical tilt correction, removal of borders, finalized and split the car license. The method is not limited plate size, position, and illumination conditions of the license plate of the background and other aspects
