In this paper, a novel bandwidth allocation technique is proposed for a 802.16 time division based (TDD) wireless network. Here both asymmetric and symmetric uplink/downlink traffic load are taken into consideration for the analysis purpose. The proposed algorithm is demonstrated in term of throughput and fairness.
