PCdisp (Pochhammer-Chree dispersion) is a small toolbox of Matlab routines which simulate numerically the generation and propagation of ultrasonic waves in a cylindrical waveguide. PCdisp can:
Trace the dispersion curves (wavenumber-frequency) for all propagating and evanescent modes in the waveguide
Find and plot the distribution of displacements and stresses of a mode in the waveguide
Use modal analysis to compute the amplitude of modes created in the waveguide by external excitations
Simulate the dispersive propagation of waveforms along the waveguide.
