Aiming at some problems encountered in iris location using Hough transform, the corresponding solutions are put forward. In order to reduce the computation of Hough transform, this algorithm uses the "first sampling switch" and "coarse to fine"; in order to improve the reliability and reduce the influence of noise. The algorithm makes use of the coupling relationship between the iris boundaries to narrow the search area in the boundary of parameter space. Experiments in MAT-LAB software show that the algorithm has achieved good results.
