Extending on from Dutchy Nl's scripts at https://tvheadend.org/boards/4/topics/15826 This new set of scripts includes the ability to display the shutdown status on the LCD front panel. To achieve this in an elegant way that did not continually cause the LCD to flicker, I had to re-write Dutchy's bash scripts using python.
