WM8978 is a low power, high quality stereo multimedia digital signal encoder and decoder. It is mainly used in portable applications, such as digital cameras and portable digital cameras. It combines the preamplifier of stereo differential microphone with speaker, headphone, differential and stereo output, and reduces the necessary external components, such as no need of separate microphone or earphone amplifier.
