The Operating System Concepts discusses the basic concepts and algorithms in operating systems and explores a large number of examples, such as Linux. The "operating system concept" is divided into seven parts. The first section provides an overview of what operating systems are, what they do, how they are designed and built, and how operating system concepts have evolved and what are the common characteristics of operating systems. The second part of the process management describes the process as the core of modern operating systems and concurrency concepts.
