The basic idea of the Snakes model is very simple. It uses some control points that form a certain shape as a template (contour line), through the elastic deformation of the template itself, and matches with the local features of the image, that is, some energy function is minimized, and the image segmentation is completed. Further analysis of the template to realize the understanding and recognition of the image.
