Because of the difference between the imaging modality and the spectrum reception segment, the synthetic aperture radar and the visible images reflect a wide range of information, and the correlation between images is weak and complementarity is obvious. Therefore, the image fusion should be based on its complementary information characteristics. Based on the study of some existing fusion methods, a SAR and visible image fusion method based on complementary information feature is proposed. First through the energy statistical characteristics based on pixel neighborhood fusion of SAR and optical images, the SAR image of the important target information added to the visible light image, the wavelet transform and then reuse the secondary melting today, fully join the edges of the original image details. Experimental results show that the fusion method is effective. - err
