Order to make the antenna radiation beam to form a given pattern, using the combination of DFP and BFGS formula variable metric algorithm to optimize the amplitude and phase distribution of each cell of the array antenna feed, calculated through C++ language programming to achieve, which makes optimization array antenna main beam shape is consistent with the pre-to the beam shape to meet the design requirements. Global optimization is a feature of this article, it makes up for the shortcomings of the accuracy of the local optimization results depend on the initial value, and thus can be guaranteed through the optimization of the antenna main beam to coincide with the main lobe of a given beam, sidelobes also been effectively controlled . The method has fast convergence of computing and small volume, is a solution to the array antenna beamforming.
