phase active filter topology. It mainly details converter configuration and examines a simple and
reliable optimised fault diagnosis method. The con verter topology is based on classical three-leg
active power filter topology. A ne w fault diagnosis method is proposed, based on classical
currents measurements. It includes combinatory logic to analyse and validate error signals. A
Hysteresis Control is applied before and after fault detection, which avoids any controller
reconfiguration. Simulation results obtained with Matlab/Simulink/Plecs tools prove the

source of the network, which generate many disturbances, and
disturb the optimal operation of electrical equipments. This work,
proposed a solution to eliminate the harmonics introduced by the
nonlinear loads. It presents the analysis and simulation using
Matlab Simulink of a active power filter (APF) compensating the
harmonics and reactive power created by nonlinear loads in
steady and in transients. The usefulness of the simulation
approach to APF is demonstrated , have a better power quality
insight using Matlab Simulink in order to develop new fuzzy

Description: In this paper, an efficient active power filter (APF) scheme is developed to estimate and compensate for harmonic distortion in an electrical power network. The developed APF control scheme is based on a double proportional feedback controller and a single-phase voltage-source half-wave bridge inverter. The proposed filter uses a Multi-layer Artificial Neural Network (MLANN) with a shift method for estimating system harmonic currents and voltages at a dedicated point. The proposed scheme is tested on a 13 bus industrial distribution system. The obtained results ensure the effectiveness of the proposed filter.
