This simulation demonstrates the use of the PMSM in a closed-loop speed and current control on a 1.1 kW 3000 rpm industrial motor. A three-phase motor rated 1.1 KW, 220 V, 3000 rpm is fed by a PWM inverter. Besides, a new design of fuzzy direct torque control system of induction motor was introduced in this paper, which based on strategy of modulating the duty cycle to decrease the torque and stator flux ripple. This design uses fuzzy control block to instead of the traditional space voltage vector selector to control the inverter switch which can improve the static and dynamic performances of AC asynchronous motors, which make the whole control system have strong robustness.

Hybrid PV-wind generation shows higher availability as compared to PV or wind alone. For rural electrifications, researches are focused on hybrid power system which provides sustainable power. The variable voltage and frequency of the self excited induction generator (SEIG) is rectified through Vienna rectifier (three switches) to the required D.C voltage level and fed to common D.C bus. The variable output voltage of PV module is controlled by DC/DC converter using proposed fuzzy logic controller and fed to common D.C bus. The DC bus collects the total power from the wind and photovoltaic system and used to charge the battery as well as to supply the A.C loads through inverter. A dynamic mathematical model and MATLAB simulations for the entire scheme is presented. Results from the simulations and experimental tests bring out the suitability of the proposed hybrid scheme in remote areas.

Power electronics plays an important role in controlling the grid-connected renewable energy sources. This paper presents a novel adaptive neuro-fuzzy control approach for the renewable interfacing inverter. The main objective is to achieve smooth bidirectional power flow and nonlinear unbalanced load compensation simultaneously, where the conventional proportional-integral controller may fail due to the rapid change in the dynamics of the highly nonlinear system. The combined capability of neuro-fuzzy controller in handling the uncertainties and learning from the processes is proved to be advantageous while controlling the inverter under fluctuating operating conditions. The inverter is actively controlled to compensate the harmonics, reactive power, and the current imbalance of a three-phase four-wire (3P4W) nonlinear load with generated renewable power injection into the grid simultaneously.
