In chapter four, we make a detai research and improvement on the key arithmetic module in MPEG4—Motion Mstimation and Globle Motion Estimation, and adopt improved PMVFAST method and a motion vector based no-iterative global motion estimation method in the codec. The experiment proves that the choosed methods are much more efficient than traditional ones. In chapter five, we discuss the DSP implementation of MPEG4-ASP video codec. Considering the hardware platform, we do the software structure design, data movement and memory, cache arrangement. We also do the software pipeline and assmble language optimization.
