The project also made use of the reception technology of GPS system to extract the required data, for instance, location, time and speed accurately. The project is expected to provide fast, convenient service for passengers using digital processing technology. The major advantages of this project is its high accuracy and low cost，it could be a low cost solution to automatically broadcasting name of station.

Much like a GPS system, Time Difference of Arrival algorithms can be used to determine the difference in time and distance of a sound source to other microphones. With that information a Chan algorithm can be used to determine the X Y coordinates of the originating sound source.
