Description: Abstract—Active harmonic resistor (AHR) has been
proposed to damp the resonance caused by reactive
compensation capacitors and line inductance in
power system. In this paper, a specific
current-controlled method for AHR is proposed
and modeled firstly, and then the design strategy
for AHR optimal resistor value is studied in detail.
