Abstract: Two methods for importing the 3DS model using OpenGL in the VC++6.0 environment are
studied and the specific implementation procedures and technical points are given. A comparison of
the two methods shows that the 3DS file-class method is better than the file conversion method as it
causes less model diagram distortion and can easily achieve such human-computer interaction as
translation, rotation, scaling and picking up.
