我们租用虚拟主机或者建立自己企业的服务器的时候经常会遇到文件管理的问题, 用 FTP 方式固然方便, 不过总是需要用一个 FTP 终端软件来管理, 而这个工具可以帮你只要有浏览器, 就可以方便的操作服务器上的文件.
警告: 目前没有加入任何密码保护功能, 请自己考虑加入!
在 Tomcat 5.0 下将压缩包 filebrowser解压后直接放置在 {Tomcat安装目录}\\webapps\\ 下面, 然后浏览器
键入 http://localhost:8080/filebrowser/ 即可看到运行结果

某天,我想管理服务器上的JSP文件,但是却发现手头没有FTP软件。这真是一件另人头疼的事情，而如果服务器不在你旁边,或者服务器对你进行了各种限制,那将是更头痛的事情。此时我想到JAVA是一个强大的语言，应该可以制作一个管理文件的系统才对，我开始在网上搜索是否有一些开源的文件管理系统。但是另人遗憾的是，在网上搜索的这些系统要么错误多多，要么只是作者做来玩玩练习一下编程而已。
后来我找到了www.vonloesch.de的jspbrowser,这真是一个强大的系统，这个系统对我影响很大。但是，在使用一段时间后，发现他还是有很多错误，而且存在很多问题，导致很难上手。所以我开始制作一个属于自己的,能被使用的，可扩展的，基于JSP的文件管理器。
这里我在自己的原来作品PJ s FileManager基础上，参考了jspbrowser的一些优秀功能。加入了很多功能，提供更多的错误提示，使之更容易使用。同时改变了上传的模式，将一些不实用的功能分离出来。因为将他们分离到另外页面了，使得这些功能可以得到更大的发挥空间，也更容易被扩展。
我的总体设计思路就是这样--单个页面已经可以使用-Web File Manager Jsp, java source code
