Description: In this paper we discuss the problem of recovering the vertices of a planar polygon from its measured complex moments.Because the given, measured moments can be noisy, the recovered vertices are only estimates of the true ones. The literature offers many algorithms for solving such an estimation problem. We will restrict our discussion to the Total Least Squares (TLS) data fitting models HTLS and STLS and the matrix pencil method GPOF. We show the close link between the HTLS and the GPOF method. We use the HTLS method to compute starting values for the STLS method. We compare the accuracy of these three methods on simulated data.

The signals both in transmit multipath and receive multipath are considered. Firstly, a forward-backward matrix pencil is formed based on the single-sampled vector. Secondly, the reduced-dimensional processing is applied to the matrix pencil via two unitary matrices. Finally, the generalized eigen-decomposition is employed to estimate the low elevation in multipath environments directly. Without the covariance matrix estimation, the proposed method can overcome multipath effect effectively in case of low SNR and estimate multi-target simultaneously. method to a polynomial method (SVD-Prony method) shows that the
matrix pencil method and the polynomial method are two special cases

in computation and less restrictive about signal poles. It is found
through perturbation analysis and simulation that, for signals with un-
