Description: Utility restructuring, technology evolution, public environmental policy, and expanding power demand are providing the opportunity for microturbines to become important energy resources. In order to investigate the ability of microturbine units in distribution systems, new simulation tools are needed. This paper presents a dynamic models for microturbines. For the purpose of modeling initialy a dynamic model for each component in the system, including gas turbine, permanent magnet generator, DC bridge rectifier and power inverter is developed and after this stage the model is implemented in a simulation software. In this research the simulation tool is Matlab/Simulink. Also the systems stand-alone dynamic performances is analyzed and evaluated.

Description: This paper presents the modeling and simulation of a high-speed single-shift micro turbine generation system. This unit has four parts: a compressor-turbine, a permanent magnet generator, a three phases bridge rectifier and inverter. The model is built from the dynamics of each part with their interconnections, and two different control strategies suitable respectively for isolated and grid-connected operation were developed. Finally, simulation studies have been carried out under a stepped load. The model is developed in the MATLAB/Simulink (Matlab 2007a) and implemented in Power system Toolboxes. This model is a useful tool for studying the various operational aspects of micro turbines

Today's optimal dispatching usually takes 24 hours as the dispatching cycle. According to the load and renewable energy output forecast data in the next day's dispatching cycle, the dispatching center of the power grid arranges in advance the output situation of generator units or energy storage equipment in the next day and the amount of electricity to be purchased or sold from the upper power grid in order to achieve the purpose of minimizing the cost of generating electricity or maximizing the revenue.)
