WirelesscoherentOFDMmodemsimulation
DL : 0
This project aim was to build wireless software modem for data communication between two computers using an acoustic interface in the voice frequency range (20Hz– 20,000Hz). The transmitting antenna is a speaker (frequency response of: 90Hz – 20,000Hz) and the receiving antenna is a microphone (frequency response of: 100Hz – 16,000Hz). The test files used as information files were text files. This goal was attained both in an incoherent scheme and in a coherent scheme. Build under Matlab code, our modem uses OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) modulation, synchronization by LMS sequence, channel estimation (no equalizer) via pilot tones. The symbols are either PSK or ASK for a constellation size of 2 or 4. To optimize the probability of error, these symbols were mapped using Gray mapping. Report

Software for Low Density Parity Check Codes Radford M. Neal Version of 2006-02-08. This collection of programs and modules, written in C, is intended to support research and education concerning Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes. (Note, however, that the copyright notice no longer restricts use to these purposes). These codes were invented by Robert Gallager in the early 1960's, and re-invented and shown to have very good performance by David MacKay and myself in the mid-1990's. The decoding algorithm for LDPC codes is related to that used for Turbo codes, and to probabilistic inference methods used in other fields. Variations on LDPC and Turbo codes are currently the best practical codes known, in terms of their ability to transmit data at rates approaching channel capacity with very low error probability.

We also derive pair-wise error probability (PEP) under Rayleigh flat fading channel and a power-law attenuation environment. Based on the PEP analysis we propose an optimal relay selection scheme, which achieves significant throughput gains as compared to the random relay selection scheme in the original ALLIANCES.

Abstract-The paper introduces a statistical channel model which is a combination of Rice and lognormal statistics, and is suitable in principle to all types of environment (rural, suburban, urban) simply by tuning the model parameters. The model validity is confirmed by comparisons with measurement data collected in the literature. Empirical formulas are derived for the model parameters to fit measured data over a wide range of elevation angles. In particular, the model is applied to nongeostationary satellite channels, such as low-Earth orbit and medium-Earth orbit channels, in which for a given user located in a generic site the elevation angle changes continuously. Finally, examples of average bit error probability evaluations in the channel are provided.

Mitigating-Channel-Estimation-Error

双项通信,有关信道估计和误差的分析,我下载时要钱的哦。。分享了-Channel estimation error problem is among the main causes of performance degradation in wireless networks. In this paper, we investigate the impact of cooperative communications on mitigating the effect of channel estimation error. Two main performance criteria, namely, the traditional outage probability and the proposed signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gap ratio, are utilized to characterize such impact.

Outage-Probability
DL : 0
Outage probability is a crude measure of performance. It is defined as the probability when mutual information is less than the given threshold. The importance of outage probability is that when outage occurs, there is more likely to have decoding failure. In other words, it is a typical error. In fading channels, the received signal has no constant power which be depending on the channel, can be described by probability models. Thus, signal to noise ratio will also becomes a random variable. and Thus the maximum capacity of the channel becomes a random variable. Outage probability says according to the variable signal to noise ratio at the received end, what is the probability that a rate is not supported due to variable signal to noise raito.
