Description: Partial delaunay triangulation and degree limited localized bluetooth scatternet formation-
This paper addresses the problem of localized scatternet formation for multi-hop Bluetooth
based
personal area ad hoc networks. Nodes are assumed to know their positions and are able to
establish
connections with any of their neighboring nodes, located within their transmission radius,
in the neighbor
discovery phase. The next phase of the proposed formation algorithm is optional, and can be
applied
to construct a sparse geometric structure in a localized manner. We propose here a new
sparse planar
structure, namely, partial Delaunay triangulation (PDT), which can be constructed locally
and is denser
than other known localized structures. In the next mandatory phase, the degree of each node
is limited to 7
by applying the Yao structure, and the master-slave relations in piconets are formed in
created subgraphs.

keys than any of

Description: Bluetooth (BT) is presently the primary wireless technology for short range Personal Area Networks (PAN). Piconet is the basic unit of networking in BT that contains one master and from one to seven active salve devices. Piconets can be interconnected to form a Scatternet. Scatternet formation and routing are the important areas on which considerable research has been done so far. Security is another important issue for BT scatternets. BT specification provides security measures for Piconets but secure communication in a scatternet is an open problem. In our research we specifically consider routing security in BT scatternets. We describe a number of routing threats and then present an authenticated routing scheme which is based on Zone Routing Protocol. We evaluate the scheme through simulation and show that it effectively secures the route discovery process in BT scatternets.

neighboring pico nets can be connected by one path and every bridge is as signed with an exact role by the
role transitio n diagram. Route discov ery for the scatternet can be realized by using the similar dynamic
