After transformation of DC DC coefficient values to determine the image edge, because the DC coefficients for the image of the average brightness, if the adjacent block DC value change is bigger, more edge details are included in it, or describe the image block changes gently, contains less edge. We can according to the variation of the DC value generally decided that a quantitative factor and then will be a fine edge block in quantitative quantitative edge, can very good protection to achieve the purpose of protect edge. The experimental results show that compared with the standard JPEG quantization, the method quantification can improve the image peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) at least 1 ~ 3dB, and the effect of image quality improvement is obvious.
