Description: GStreamer is a very powerful and generic framework for streaming media applications. GStreamer has many advantages from its framework modular: GStreamer, to seamlessly merge the new plug-ins. However, due to the pursuit of modular and high efficiency, makes GStreamer complex in the whole framework, also because of the complexity of the improvement, making the development of a new application is not so simple. This Guide seeks to help you understand the GStreamer framework (version 0.10.3.1) to facilitate development on the basis of the GStreamer framework. The first chapter will focus on how to develop a simple audio player, through the explanation of the whole process, trying to make you able to understand some of the concepts related to GStreamer. In later chapters, we will discuss some advanced issues on the media player (playback) control these issues, including audio, video and editing.
