Description: Contact ADC or DAC, you will encounter this oft-quoted formula used to calculate the theoretical signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the converter. Its blindly believe that the appearance, not as good as a fundamental understanding of its sources, because the formula contains some of the subtleties, if you do not go into details, could lead to a misunderstanding of the data sheet for technical specifications and performance of the converter. Remember, the formula represents the theoretical performance of a perfect N-bit ADC. You can compare the actual SNR with the theoretical SNR of the ADC, take a look at the similarities and differences between the two.
