Description: This paper analyzes the map matching error sources, presents a weight-based map-matching algorithm. The algorithm converts the GPS location data of the road network weights of arcs, then a small arc weights to determine significant road vehicle is currently traveling. The algorithm effectively utilizes the anchor points of the current and historical information, and can largely reduce the positioning error of the map matching effect.
