a program called KBMIDI that lets you use the PC keyboard to play an electronic music synthesizer—either the one on your sound board or an external synthesizer hooked up to the MIDI Out port. KBMIDI gives you complete control over the MIDI output device (that is, the internal or external synthesizer), the MIDI channel, and the instrument voice. Besides being fun to use, I ve found the program useful for exploring how Windows implements MIDI support.
