Proposed a new ultrasonic flaw Automatic Identification System. The system uses wavelet packet decomposition extract the characteristics of ultrasonic signals using chaos genetic algorithm to eliminate redundant and irrelevant features, and using support vector machine (SVM) to identify defects.
