The separation of XAML and code is essentially the same as the separation between HTML markup and an ASP.NET code behind file. This is a far cry from the visually limiting, drag and drop interface left over even from the VB 5 days. The clear benefit is that, with tools like Expressions, an application’s UI can be designed by a graphics team while a development team remains focused on development.
