This research uses DaHeng image gathering card to carry on tire image gathering, uses the WTL contact surface frame with VC++2005 to develop a simple tire surface mark Acquisition and Recognition system. First, the image pretreatment is realized by using the gradation and the histogram equalizing method, then use the OTSU threshold value division method to realize the image binaryzation. On the base of two-value image, by using the threshold value area elimination (holes to pick out) image denoising processing is realized, and then use the radial direction projection method to realize the character division, finally the tire surface mark recognition is realized through the template matching method.
