This article focuses on the Gaussian regression filters principles and algorithms for a simple introduction. Compared to other traditional methods,gaussian filter has many advantages.Gaussian filter is mainly used for roughiness of the signal from the measured signal and moire signals,shape and form error signal.Because of these advantages Gaussian regression filter has listed it as the international standard ISO16610 standard filter, which is mainly used for surface roughness measurement and research.
