Description: FreeType 2 is designed to be small, efficient, highly customizable, and capable of producing portable, high-quality output (symbolic images). It can be used on a variety of other products such as image library, display server, font conversion tool, image text generation tool, etc.
Note that FreeType 2 is a font service that does not provide an API for higher-order functions such as text layout or graphical processing (such as colored text rendering). However, it simplifies these high-level tasks by providing a simple, easy-to-use and unified interface that implements access to multiple font files.
The release of FreeType 2 follows two open source licenses: our own BSD style FreeType License and GPL (common public License). It can be used in any program, whether proprietary or not.
