Description: Article puts forward a kind of based on Sobel operator and grid scale color image edge detection method. The method to divide the image into a preset size grid, on the two dimensions of image analysis, image edge detection. Firstly, the image edge is obtained by Sobel operator, and the different grids are treated according to the number of edges and the connected conditions in the grid. Then the image edge is obtained by using the Sobel operator on a larger scale. Finally, the results of two calculated edges are merged by the priority of the data set and the method of morphology. This method fully takes into account the various complex situations that may appear in the image, and from the two scale segmentation images, it compensates the deficiency of the single method, and improves the segmentation accuracy.
