Description: Digital multi-channel system (DMS) refers to the Nortel Networks to develop a series of exchange system. It can provide for voice and data transmission of digital circuit-switched services, digital transmission of information packet-switched services. Digital multi-channel system is characterized by the exchange in the whole network using pulse code demodulator (PCM) and time division multiplexing system (TDM). The system allows for the transmission system of PCM signals without the need for direct exchange into analog format.
