Description: This paper first presents a new method of palmprint identification by using Local Binary Pattern (LBP)·By referring to
hierarchical retrieval，Gabor filter is first used to extract the global energy feature，and then LBP operator is used to extract the
local feature，which are used to classify twice．Th e experiment result shows that the identification rate can be improved ~tther by
comparison with the method of using Gabor filter only．
