Description: A review of digital image restoration techniques is presented in this paper to introduce the variational partial differential method for structural image restoration and the method of texture synthesis for the repair of large area defect. Corresponding numerical calculation and experimental results are given respectively. Overview of digital image restoration techniques are introduced for the structure of partial differential variational image restoration method and the repair of large defects of the texture synthesis method.
