Description: IBM has submitted a candidate algorithm, which is IBM' s internal development, called LUCIFER. In the United States National Security Agency (NSA) to " guidance" to complete the algorithm assessment, in July 15, 1977, NBS has adopted a modified version of LUCIFER algorithm as the new Data Encryption Standard.
