Description: zabbix consists of two parts, to zabbix server and optional components to zabbix agent.
to zabbix server can be the agent of the SNMP, to zabbix, the ping, port monitoring on the remote server/network status monitoring, data collection and other functions, it can run on Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Free the BSD, the Open the BSD OS X platform.
to zabbix agent needs to be installed on the target server being monitored, it is mainly done to collect hardware information related to the operating system memory, CPU and other information. to zabbix agent can run on top of Linux, Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Free BSD, Open BSD, OS X, Tru64/OSF1, Windows NT4.0, Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista) and other systems.
