Description: ASM (Active Shape Model, active shape model), a statistical model-based image search method. The advantage is that the shape change limited to a reasonable range can be limited adjustments to the parameters according to the training data. ASM method first shape model created for specific target and to describe a series of feature points, known as the point distribution model (PDM) then the vicinity of the feature point of each feature point in the shape model to establish gray model ASM method using gray degree model to search for the best position of the feature point in the target image, according to the search results at the same time to adjust the parameters of the shape model, and ultimately make the model is matched to the contour of an object.
