Description: A battery of 100V dc is to feed an inductive load (R = 10 ohms, L = 100 mH) with a variable dc supply from 10 - 100 V by means of a step-down converter (dc chopper) operating at a fixed switching frequency of 100 Hz. The dc chopper is composed of an IGBT transistor main switch and a freewheeling diode across the inductive load. Assume parasitic values of inductances of 10 uH to be in series with the two switches.
