Description: A two dimensional numerical model is established for a type of louvered fin, the temperature field, velocity field and streamlines are obtained by numerical simulation for air side heat transfer and fluid flow with SIMPLER algorithm. Different Reynolds numbers and different louver angles are numerically studied the results reveal the variation of resistance coefficient and Nu number. The effects of angle between temperature gradients and velocity vector for heat transfer characteristics are analyzed by field synergy principle on the base of the model.
