Description: NOR and NAND market is now two main types of non-volatile flash memory technology. Intel in 1988 developed the first NOR flash technology, completely changed the original from EPROM and EEPROM dominated situation. Then, in 1989, Toshiba made a NAND flash structure, emphasis on reducing the cost per bit, higher performance, and as the disk can easily upgrade through the interface. But after more than a decade later, there is still a considerable number of hardware engineers distinguish NOR and NAND flash memory.
