Description: To improve biogeography optimization (BBO) algorithm in engineering optimization design performance, the introduction of non-linear species transport model and elite Boot and thought of BBO algorithm is improved, and the optimization algorithm is applied to the field of structural engineering. Classic truss structure two continuous variables, for example, structural optimization design quality at minimum meet the constraints. Numerical examples show that the improved algorithm is used in engineering structural optimization with the convergence speed design, good stability, performance has greatly improved over BBO algorithm, it can be effectively applied to engineering design optimization.
