Description: Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are material handling system that uses independently operated, self-propelled vehicles guided along different pathways. For navigation AGVs use different kind of sensors for detecting the environment including lasers, ultrasonic sensors and vision sensors or follow lines or wires in the floor. Sometimes multiple sensors have to be used for navigation. In this report development of vision sensor, AGV navigation control and the development of a
recongurable approach navigation is explained. Also the vision sensor feasibility is examined. An omnidirectional camera is used as vision sensor. Also by using colored route and signs the path of AGV is made reconfigurable without the need for programming intervention. By making different AGVs respond to different colors a number of AGVs can be manipulated.
